A new application from Facebook will actually allow people to bet real money – is this a good idea? It seems there are many conflicted responses.
In the U.K. gambling is very regulated and very popular so it seems that Facebook will be capitalizing on a very real and profitable market. Facebook has been working with Zynga (the gaming site) which too plans on being able to offer gamers the option of wagering real money.
Outside of the U.K. where regulations aren’t mandated Facebook will likely need to be very careful to avoid legal troubles . A good way to enter into then gambling scene is with Bingo sites since it is a bit less intense than many other forms of online gambling. It appears that this is where Facebook will begin though confirmation has not yet been made.
