Barnes & Noble and Microsoft finalize joint venture

In honor of the occasion a joint press release was issues saying: “Micrsoft and Barnes & Noble’s strategic partnership in Nook Media LLC will enable the companies to advance world-class digital reading experiences to the hundreds of millions of customers they jointly serve.” Nook Media will include all of Barnes & Nobles digital business and has received $300 million in backing from Microsoft.
