Hackers release 1 million Apple device IDs

At the end of a month of devastating corporate data security breaches, a group of hackers on Monday posted a highly sought after score: 1 million identification numbers for Apple iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch’s, all purportedly stolen from the FBI. Adding insult to injury, there may be as many as 11 million more ID’s that have yet to be released, many with full usernames and telephone numbers attached. An unnamed writer of the Pastebin group who claims to be affiliated with the AntiSec group had this to say “Well, we have learnt it seems quite clear nobody pays attention if you just come and say ‘Hey, FBI is using your device details and info and who the [expletive] knows what the hell are they experimenting with that,” well sorry, but nobody will care.” The affected users are not in any real threat of having their accounts taken over, this was apparently done to expose and ask the question of why the FBI has these ID’s on file and what they are doing with them.
