Apple announced today that they will be releasing a new and improved line of iPod touch and iPod nano MP3 players. The new iPod touch closely resembles the newly released iPhone 5 and features the new larger 4 inch screen. It is also the lightest and thinnest iPod to date weighing in at just 88 grams and only 6mm thick. Another new feature is a 5-megapixel camera and A5 processor, the first dual-core chip to be used in an iPod. pre-orders for the device, which comes in pink, white, silver, blue, black, yellow and slate begin on Sept. 14 and will hit stores in October, in plenty of time for the holiday shopping season. Prices start at $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model. The nano also received an update for its seventh generation launch. It will feature a 2.5 inch touch screen and is almost 40% thinner than the previous model. The nano will also feature a pedometer, video capabilities and integrated Bluetooth.
